1 Prim Tic-Tac-Toe

October 1, 2008

I was playing around with ideas this past weekend contiplating what the bare minimum was to make a game of tic-tac-toe. I came up with an image to represent all 27 different posabilities in an individual row composing of just 27 characters of x/o/space. (xxxo-ooox-xoo—o-xx–x-oxo). I proceeded to map map the image in Second Life and then detect touch events to determine what face and position was touched. The end-result was a game of Tic-Tac-Toe with one clipped 512×32 image representing each row. The code is pretty light-weight as well with just 169 lines of LSL.

Doing the iPod thing again

February 15, 2008

ipod-touch.pngI did one of these deals a couple years ago and wound up with a nice iPod that I fell in love with and used constantly. However, ever since the hard drive went up in smoke, I’ve been podless. Well, I did have a iPod mini that my wife gave me, but the thing just couldn’t hold all of my music and it was a little out dated. I need a color screen.

Well, I found one of those free iPod offers again and I’ll try and go at it again. After looking at the different offers that I could complete, I found a NetFlix deal. I’ve been interested in them ever since they started advertising unlimited streaming movies. They have a ton of anime that I’ve seen, so I’d like to catch up on a lot of those series.

Speaking about catching up on things, I’d love to start listening to podcasts again. At the moment, I manually listen through iTunes – if i ever open the thing. It’s just not as portable.

Any interested parties can go ahead and use my referral link to get a free iPod Touch.
