5 Things You Don’t Know About Me

DrFran tagged me with this one.  I think most people know me in SecondLife, so I’ll just reveal some bits about my real life.

1. I used to catch live chickens at night for a living, 7 at a time. 5 in one hand, 2 in the other.  Transport them from the growing houses to egg laying farms.  I had so many nightmares from the job though.  You can read more about this and my view points at my real life blog on the post, Slaughter House.

2. I used to be a “carnie” taking down rides and putting them back up on the weekends, then operating them during the week.

3. I won a Land Rover Discovery Series II from mysecond IT job in a contest as a celebration of being bought out by Verio.  Back then, I walked to work a few miles every day.  Sold it, got a car, moved into an appartment, and purchased furniture and a hemalayan persian cat that I named Gizmo.

4. I was the Class Treasurer in my senior year Home Ed class in a back-country area of West Virginia.  I got the opportunity to go to a state camp and won a sticker contest for meeting the most people from other counties and got my mug in the newspaper.  A guy amongst many women, how could I not win with my charm?

5. I’ve been programming at an early age and started out on the Atari 400, saving programs to an audio cassette tape.
